ACTOR
Trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City, Zorawar has worked with some of the most acclaimed personalities in the Indian film and theatre world. During the global pandemic, he founded a Shakespeare community that meet and perform regularly online. Zorawar is now based in Los Angeles where he is continuing his training at The Actor’s Workout Studio. Check out his most recent monologues and sketches here
MusiC Performer
Zorawar performs as a singer, MC and DJ under the stage name General Zooz. He is a co-founder of Reggae Rajahs, India’s first collective dedicated to spreading reggae music and culture in India. As an MC/ DJ General Zooz has performed over 500 shows in over 20 countries across the world including appearances at festivals such as Sziget, Rototom Sunsplash and Outlook Festival. As a singer, he recently collaborated with the world famous British band UB40, on the hit single, “Roots Rock Reggae”
EVent curator
Zorawar is Festival Director of Goa Sunsplash. He has helped grow the festival exponentially over 5 editions. What started out as a 1 day event with 400 attendees, has become a 3 day festival with 4 stages, 50 artists and 3,000 attendees from more than 30 countries. Zorawar also hosts regular events across India, working with the best music venues in the country. He has organised more than 25 tours for international artists in India. During the worldwide pandemic in 2020, he started The Living Room Dance Off, an online dance party and competition, that had over 2000 attendees over 2 editions.
Filmmaker
Zorawar is the founder of One Duniya Productions. He has made two documentary films for the Government of India and has done extensive work for Organic India, making short films about the company’s herb farms, philosophy and unique practices. He is also a passionate music video director and regularly edits short promo videos and content for social media.
